Water

Each apartment at Tara has a main shutoff tap for the hot water and one for the cold water.

Hot Water shutoff tap

The hot water shutoff valve is usually located in a kitchen cupboard near the sink and gas meter or in some apartments the hot water shutoff is in the laundry, under the sink. The images below show the typical location of the main hot water tap in each apartment:

Cold Water shutoff tap

The main shutoff tap for the cold water for each apartment is located in the hose reel cupboard in the corridor outside the apartment. The tap for your apartment will be labelled.

Hot Water Billing

The building has two gas hot water boilers located in the garage. These boilers supply hot water to every apartment and inside each apartment on the hot water inlet is a meter which measures the amount of hot water used by each individual apartment. You are then charged for this usage. The meters are read remotely and the charge appears on your gas bill.

Gas

A gas meter is located inside each apartment, usually in a kitchen cupboard or in the laundry. This is read remotely and you are charged for the gas usage.

Electricity

A fuse box is located in each apartment usually inside one of the kitchen cupboards. The fuse box contains a main circuit breaker and breakers for each of the electrical circuits in the apartment. The main breaker acts on an earth leakage system and will shut off all the power in the apartment, both lights and power points.
